Straight answers about what Cloak4U is, how it handles invalid traffic, what it collects, and — importantly — how it differs from deceptive ad cloaking.

Cloak4U is a click fraud protection and bot traffic detection platform. The questions below cover the topics people ask about most: what the product does, the honest difference between protecting traffic and deceptive cloaking, the data involved, platform compliance, integration, accuracy limits, pricing, and privacy. If your question is not here, the documentation goes deeper, or you can contact us.

Cloak4U detects and blocks invalid traffic. It serves every valid visitor of a campaign the same approved destination and never shows reviewers a different page than real users. It is not a tool for evading Google or Meta ad review, and nothing here should be read as a promise of approvals, revenue, or perfect detection.

Frequently asked questions

What is Cloak4U?
Cloak4U is a click fraud protection and bot traffic detection platform. It evaluates the traffic reaching your landing pages and blocks, challenges, or logs visits that look like bots, proxies, VPN abuse, datacenter traffic, or repeat invalid clicks. Valid visitors reach your page normally; invalid ones are stopped and recorded with a clear reason.
How is Cloak4U different from deceptive ad cloaking?
This is the most important distinction. Deceptive cloaking shows one page to ad reviewers or crawlers and a different page to real users in order to evade review. Cloak4U does the opposite: every valid visitor of a campaign resolves to the same approved destination, including anyone a platform sends to check where your ad points. Cloak4U never switches content based on whether a visitor looks like a reviewer. Invalid traffic is blocked or challenged — not shown a decoy page. It is a traffic-quality tool, not a reviewer-evasion tool.
Does the name "Cloak4U" mean it hides pages from Google?
No. Despite the brand name, Cloak4U is protection software, not a cloaking service. It does not hide content from Google, block ad reviewers, or help you get around ad review. It reduces invalid clicks and bot traffic so your campaigns and analytics stay clean, which is fully in line with platform policies.
What data does Cloak4U collect?
Only the minimal signals needed to score traffic quality: IP address (masked or hashed in the UI), user agent, referrer, page path, language, and coarse geo and device information. It combines these into a risk score for each visit. Retention of this data is configurable.
What does Cloak4U never collect?
Cloak4U does not collect passwords, cookies, session contents, uploaded files, or private form data. It is designed around data minimization: it looks only at the request-level signals it needs to decide whether traffic is likely valid or invalid, and nothing more.
Is Cloak4U compliant with Google Ads and Meta Ads policies?
Cloak4U is built to help you comply with platform rules on invalid traffic, not to bypass them. It reduces invalid clicks so your reporting is cleaner and your spend goes to real people. That said, you are responsible for how you configure and use it. Cloak4U does not guarantee approval, reinstatement, or compliance outcomes, and it must never be used to evade ad review.
How do I integrate Cloak4U with my site?
You add a small snippet to your landing page. Server-side options like PHP and WordPress evaluate each request before your page renders, while the JavaScript option runs client-side. All integration methods feed the same evaluation and logging pipeline. See the integrations documentation to pick the one that matches your stack.
How accurate is bot and fraud detection?
Detection is probabilistic, not perfect. Sophisticated bots mimic real browsers, and some genuine users look unusual — for example, people on corporate VPNs or unusual mobile networks. Cloak4U aims for high accuracy with transparent, weighted rules and lets you tune sensitivity, but no tool can guarantee that every bot is caught or that no legitimate visitor is ever challenged.
What happens to a visit that is flagged as invalid?
You choose the outcome per campaign. Block returns a plain access-blocked response, challenge asks the visitor to pass a lightweight check before continuing, and log-only records the visit without stopping it. Every outcome is written to the click log with the triggering rule, a reason code, a risk score, and a request ID so you can audit it.
Will Cloak4U block legitimate search engine crawlers?
You control that. Legitimate crawlers such as Googlebot can be allowlisted so your SEO is unaffected. Cloak4U is intended to reduce invalid ad traffic, not to interfere with search indexing or block honest crawlers.
How much does Cloak4U cost?
There is a free plan for a single campaign, plus paid Growth and Scale tiers for more capacity, retention, and support. Prices shown on the pricing page are illustrative USD placeholders while the product is in development and may change before launch. No plan guarantees perfect detection or ad approval.
How does Cloak4U protect user privacy?
Privacy is a default, not an add-on. IP addresses are masked or hashed in the interface, sensitive data is never collected, and you can configure how long records are retained. The privacy policy describes the practices in full. Note that the current privacy policy and terms are clearly labeled placeholders and not legal advice.
